Legal vs. Non-Legal DNA Testing: What’s the Difference?

One of the most common questions we get at Magnolia Grace Testing & Wellness is: What’s the difference between legal and non-legal DNA testing?

Here’s a quick breakdown:

  • Legal DNA Tests are collected under strict chain-of-custody protocol, witnessed by a professional collector, and admissible in court (for custody, child support, immigration, etc.).

  • Non-Legal (Informational) DNA Tests are for personal use only. These can be done at home, but the results are not valid in court.

Not sure which one you need? That’s what we’re here for. We’ll help you choose the right service for your situation and get it scheduled—fast and easy in Jackson, Flowood, Brandon, or Byram.
